3D Modeling Intern, Cole Biesemeyer

Graphite Lab hosted a talented intern for 3 months this fall. Cole Biesemeyer had a chance to write about his experience:

“Working at Graphite Lab over the past couple months has been an awesome experience. Working on assets from Seamless Entertainment improved many of my skills in areas such as unwrapping and texturing, and it was a great feeling to be working on assets that would be used in a production video game.”

Below are screenshots of some of the 3D models Cole produced:

“I mainly worked on level of detail meshes and damage states for various assets for use in the game SOL: Exodus. I also worked on a character model under the supervision of Art Wiesen. This allowed me to keep improving my skills in between assignments from Seamless Entertainment. Art Wiesen and Matt Raithel’s experience and knowledge allowed my work to really excel, and allowed me to gain a greater understanding of what is involved in video game production on both the business end and the production end.”

“The pieces I worked on will be great additions to my portfolio and I feel the experience I gained here at Graphite Lab will be invaluable to me in the future. Everyone at Graphite Lab was very hospitable during my stay and I really had a great time. I would like to thank you guys for everything and I wish you all success in your future endeavors.”

Cole was a pleasure to work with and GLI wishes him the best as he pursues his dreams.
