Graphite Lab is reviewing candidates for summer 2015 internships! The program runs from May 11 – August 14th. General hours on site are from 10AM – 4PM Monday through Friday, but will be negotiated around school or other work schedules for the right candidates.

We’re offering 2 ART internships, 1 PROGRAMMING internship and 1 GAME DESIGN internship!

PLAY-DOH Create ABCs application is designed to help children develop the essential skills required for reading and writing. Using this app, children will learn to: recognize letters, write letters using proper stroke order and associate letters with sounds.




Graphite Lab is reviewing candidates for art internships this winter. The program runs from 1/2 though 3/29. General hours on site are from 10AM – 4PM Monday through Friday, but will  be negotiated around school schedules. As a GLI intern, you will learn a ton. Selected candidates will get to contribute to real game development projects for high profile clients.

Decisions will be made the week of 12/17 for the two open spots.

Render After Effects Projects Faster

We recently had a follower send us an email asking for ideas about why her After Effects project was taking sooo long to render. The length of the project was short, but the render times were long – at 3 hours plus. We aren’t exactly in the business of troubleshooting projects for others, but since we produce a fair amount of video game trailers in After Effects, and this particular victim was a close friend of the lab, we couldn’t help but share a few nuggets of wisdom for pepping up pokey render times.

Recent After Effects projects from Graphite Lab include game trailers for Zhu Zhu Pets DS, Agatha Christie’s ABC Murders DS, Dagedar DS and upcoming Big Time Rush Wii from GameMill Entertainment. Well, on to the solutions:

Graphite Lab brings W.E.L.D.E.R. to Kindle Fire!

We are excited to announce the launch of W.E.L.D.E.R. for the Kindle Fire! We had a ton of fun porting this great word game from Highline Games to the Kindle Fire platform over the last few months.  The Kindle was a natural platform for a word based mobile game and packs some great features:

Talking Design: Rayman Origins
