Graphite Lab is reviewing candidates for summer 2018 internships! The program runs from May 14 – August 10th. General hours on site are from 10AM – 4PM Monday through Friday but will be negotiated around school or other work schedules for the right candidates.
We’re offering 2 ART internships, 1 PROGRAMMING internship and 1 GAME DESIGN internship!
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS APRIL 27th.
Making games is an incredibly fun process – but there is a lot of hard work involved, too! We teach our interns about principles of game development: from the pitch process, through concept development, production, and release. Interns meet weekly with members of our staff to receive feedback and guidance. Our goal is to help you establish and grow your skills as a game developer.
Many of our interns use this opportunity to earn college credit. We provide support for students who are seeking college credit for their internships. Interns will work together to produce a game of their own in Unity with coaching from our staff. Because of the educational direction of our internships, GLI internships are unpaid positions. However, a $500 cash stipend will be awarded at the completion of the internship.
For a glimpse of what it’s like as an intern here, you can take a look at the video below which was commissioned by Maryville University and features some testimonials from some of our intern alumni. Or, check out this Facebook post showing an early demo from our 2017 interns!
